Tubular deformity of the breasts entails when herniation exists of breast tissue into the nipple areola and or inadequate development of the inferior half of the breast is present. Surgical correction centers around scoring the resdiual tissue, repositioning the displaced tissue and augmentation.

It is significant to note that patients with severe tubular deformity may require more than a single procedure to correct the anatomical variations that are present pre-operatively.
