\"Acne<\/a>Unless you\u2019re Two-Face or Scarface, having any scar across your face is enough to make you feel self-conscious. If you have acne scars, you can typically cover them up with some makeup and call it a day. To help you get the proper coverage and conceal your scars<\/a>, we have created a brief step-by-step guide. Read on to learn more.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Moisturize<\/h2>\n

Depending on whether or not your acne scar is new, you may need to moisturize it before you apply makeup. If it\u2019s still healing, it may have a rough texture or dry patches across it which can make it hard for makeup to adhere to it\u2014 that\u2019s why we recommend that you apply a thin moisturizer on top.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Sunscreen<\/h2>\n

Scars can darken easier than other parts of your skin which makes them that much more noticeable. To prevent them from darkening in the sun, make sure to wear a sunscreen every day.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Conceal<\/h2>\n

Now you can start applying makeup. Look for a concealer that is a shade lighter than your natural skin tone and gently blot it over your scar\u2014 this will help to lighten it.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Blend<\/h2>\n

Now that your scar is concealed, you need to blend it in with the rest of your skin. To do so, use a combination of a liquid foundation and a powder one. To start out, use a makeup blender to spread and blend in the liquid foundation across your face. Then, take a light mineral powder foundation and brush it over the top\u2014 this will help conceal it even more.<\/p>\n
