Beautiful young mixed race couple standing close to each otherAs we enter the new year, many may think about improving our appearance and boosting our self-confidence. Plastic surgery has come a long way in recent years and offers many options for both men and women. From non-invasive treatments to traditional surgical procedures, here are the top 7 plastic surgery procedures expected to be popular in 2023.

Liposuction

Liposuction remains one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures, allowing people to target and remove unwanted fat from specific body areas. New techniques, such as laser or ultrasound-assisted liposuction, offer improved results with less downtime.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is still a hugely popular procedure, with many women choosing to enhance their bust size or improve symmetry. The procedure can be done using either silicone or saline implants and combined with a breast lift for optimal results.

Botox and Fillers

Botox and dermal fillers are popular non-surgical options for reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily paralyzes the muscles responsible for wrinkles, while fillers are injected into the skin to add volume and smooth out wrinkles.

Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, can help those who have lost a lot of weight or had children to achieve a flatter, more toned stomach. The procedure involves removing excess skin and fat and tightening the abdominal muscles.

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is a procedure that can improve the shape, size, and symmetry of the nose. It can also be done to correct breathing problems caused by structural defects in the nose.

Facelift

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, can address the signs of aging in the face and neck, including sagging skin, wrinkles, and loss of volume. This procedure can help to rejuvenate the face and give it a more youthful appearance.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, can correct drooping upper eyelids and puffy bags under the eyes. The procedure can help improve the eyes’ appearance and give them a more refreshed and alert look.

Schedule A Consultation

Most patients are satisfied with the results of plastic surgery for several years after surgery, proving that the procedure has a high patient satisfaction rate. Contact Dr. Gregory Wiener at (773) 763-3990 to find out how plastic surgery can improve your appearance.

A new year means new beginnings, and what better way to start the year than by giving yourself the gift of plastic surgery? Whether you want to get rid of those pesky wrinkles or finally attain the body you’ve always dreamed of, plastic surgery can help you achieve your goals. Not sure where to start? Here are five New Year’s resolutions for a better you with plastic surgery.

Get Rid of Wrinkles with Botox or Dermal Fillers

Are you tired of seeing those pesky wrinkles every time you look in the mirror? If so, consider Botox or dermal fillers. Botox is a popular choice for reducing the appearance of wrinkles, as it relaxes the muscles that cause them. On the other hand, dermal fillers add volume to the skin, which can help smooth out wrinkles.

Achieve Your Ideal Body with Liposuction

If you feel unhappy with the shape of your body, liposuction may be right for you. Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that removes fat from specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, and arms. This can help create a more sculpted appearance.

Get Rid of Excess Skin with a Tummy Tuck

You may have excess skin if you’ve recently lost weight. A tummy tuck can help address this issue by removing excess skin and tightening the remaining skin for a more toned appearance.

Enhance Your Features with Facial Plastic Surgery

Facial plastic surgery can help improve your appearance by enhancing your features. For example, if you’re unhappy with the size or shape of your nose, facial plastic surgery can help correct these issues. Other popular facial procedures include facelifts and eyelid surgery.

Boost Your Confidence with Breast Surgery

If you’re unhappy with your breasts—whether they’re too large, too small, or have lost their shape—breast surgery can help address these concerns. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular procedures and can help achieve fuller, more proportionate breasts. Other breast surgeries include breast lift and breast reduction surgery.

plastic surgeon touching face of attractive woman with marked faceWhen it comes to undergoing plastic surgery, it’s one thing to find the right surgeon to help you achieve your goals. But did you know that as a patient, you play a role in having a successful surgery and smooth recovery? Read on to learn five top tips for improving your chances at a smooth recovery.

  1. You will want to prepare your home in advance of surgery. If your surgery requires you to take it easy for a while, you may want to line up help around the house. That could be for anything from light housework to chores to caregiving and helping you get around the house, depending on the surgical procedure you have done. Your surgery may require special equipment at home such as a recliner or hospital bed, so you will want to make sure you have that lined up well in advance of surgery.
  2. No matter whether you are having outpatient surgery or an overnight stay, you will want someone to take you home after you are released to get you situated. This person may need to remain with you for several hours or help you overnight, depending on doctor’s orders.
  3. Speaking of doctor’s orders, be sure you follow your surgeon’s pre-surgery and post-surgical instructions. It’s important to follow these instructions closely to ensure a smoother recovery.
  4. If you are responsible for caring for children or others, be sure you arrange for someone else to care for them while you recover, depending on how long you doctor recommends or advises. Your rest and recovery are truly important to your healing, especially right after surgery.
  5. Patience is key. If you notice something awry when you go home or your final results aren’t yet what you want them to be, please know that healing takes time. Healing from some procedures take longer than others.

To schedule a consultation for a plastic surgery procedure you’ve been wanting, call (773) 763-3990 today.

armlift Chicago, ILIf you recently just completed a diet and exercise regimen and have slender, toned arms to show for it then congratulations! If, however, you are still self -conscious about your arms because you have excess skin because of your weight loss, then you may want to consider getting an arm lift done by Dr. Gregory Wiener. Before you take the leap, however, this article will list three things for you to know beforehand.

What It Does

If there’s one thing to know about the human body it’s that it is extremely resilient. That injury you got a few months ago has probably healed up right now and that burn you got ast summer is more than likely long gone. Even though the body is extremely resilient, it can’t always come back from everything. Specifically, a lot of patients who lose a lot of weight end up having excess skin that won’t tighten up on its own. With an arm lift, we surgically remove excess skin from your arms so that you have a more taut appearance.

Who It’s Good For

Typically, arm lifts are best suited for patients who have a lot of excess skin on their upper arms, but don’t necessarily have a lot of fat. If you do have a lot of excess skin and fat, then we may recommend that you get an arm lift in conjunction with another procedure like liposuction.

How can I Tell If It’s Right For Me?

The best way for you to determine whether or not an arm lift is a good procedure for you is to come into our office for a consultation appointment. During your consultation appointment, we will take a look at your arms and then sit down with you to answer all of your questions and concerns. Then from there, we will determine whether or not an arm lift will give you the results that you want or if we should consider taking another route.

Are you ready to take the next steps towards learning about whether or not an arm lift is right for you? Contact us at our Chicago office and call us at (773) 763-3990.

Breast Procedures Chicago, ILAny type of surgery comes with some potential risks and complications. Although exceptionally rare, some breast augmentation patients may suffer from complications or side effects. One of the best ways that you can prevent these complications from developing into something more serious is to be mindful of how your body is healing and know what signs to look for. Let’s take a closer look at a few signs that you may have a post-op infection.

Pus at the incision site

Having some fluid drain from your incision site is completely normal as your body’s healing after surgery. If, however, you notice that it looks like pus is coming out of your incision, then this may be a sign that you are developing an infection. Have a friend or family member take a closer look at the skin around your stitches. Does it look red, irritated, and infected? If so, schedule an appointment with Dr. Gregory Wiener right away.

Flu-Like Symptoms

If you start experiencing flu-like symptoms while you’re recovering like fever, chills, sweats, and aches when you may be suffering from an infection— especially if symptoms come on rather quickly. Call our office right away if you experience these symptoms while you are recovering.

Increased Pain and Swelling

After a week or two, the swelling around your breasts should go down substantially, and the pain should wear off. If you have noticed that the pain and swelling haven’t gone down or have gotten worse, these are other signs of infection.

Resting, cleaning your incision site, massaging your breasts, and taking good care of yourself while you’re in recovery will help make sure you don’t get an infection. Although very rare, if you experience any of the symptoms listed above, don’t hesitate to give our office a call. To learn more about breast augmentations or breast augmentation surgery, schedule an appointment at our Chicago office today and call (773) 763-3990.

Breast Augmentation Chicago, ILCandy isn’t just used to fill Easter baskets with and to hide from your already hyper children. In fact, Dr. Gregory Wiener offers patients a few candy based treatment options to choose from. Whether you like gummy bears or jelly beans, this article will discuss how these two candies are more than just a sweet treat. Read on to learn more.

Gummy Bears

Gummy bears aren’t just a fun multicolored treat to bring to the movie theater. In fact, gummy bear implants are a popular type of implant that we offer our patients. Made out of silicone, gummy bear implants give patients a more natural look and feel than other types of implants. Additionally, unlike traditional silicone or saline implants that are round, gummy bear implants are shaped like a teardrop which will give you a more natural looking appearance.

Jelly Beans

Jelly beans aren’t just fun to eat on Easter, but they are fun to eat all year round. With fun flavors like popcorn and cherry, they’re always a big hit. However, Dr. Gregory Wiener likes to use jelly beans for something a bit different: a jelly bean facial. By starting with a sweet grape scented enzyme treatment, your skin will be infused with anti-aging polyphenols. After you are done smelling like a grape jelly bean, we will use our jellybean marble mask to hydrate and oxygenate your skin.

Skin care and surgical treatments don’t have to be so serious all of the time. Here at Dr. Gregory Wiener’s office, we like to spice things up and make them a bit more fun by offering treatments like gummy bear implants and jelly bean facials. Each with unique benefits, you know that you will leave our office looking and feeling like a whole new you. If you would like to learn more about these individual treatments or to schedule a consultation appointment, contact Dr. Gregory Wiener today!

plastic surgeryIt can seem like there is an excuse to do things or not to do things in almost every scenario out there. If you have a part of your body that you’ve always wanted to change or if you are simply not happy with the way that your face or body is naturally aging, then you may be toying with the idea of undergoing plastic surgery. However, as one of the hardest questions to answer, is it better to get plastic surgery now or later? Read on to learn more.

How long has it been bugging you for?
Do you have a nose that has been taunting you since you were little? Do you have small breasts that you have always wanted to have enlarged? When looking into when you should get plastic surgery, ask yourself how long it has been bugging you for? If it has been bothering you consecutively for more than a couple of years, then you should schedule an appointment with Dr. Gregory Winer. However, if it is something that you’ve just thought of, give it a little bit more thought in order to ensure that you don’t make a rash decisions.

Do you have the physical and emotional support?
Undergoing any form of plastic surgery— whether it be a nose job or a tummy tuck— requires that you have a little bit of emotional and physical support while you are in recovery. For instance, because with most types of surgeries you won’t be able to lift things for a few weeks, it’s important to have someone around your house to help you lift things. Also, if you don’t have the emotional support of your loved ones, you may feel alone during recovery. If you are in a place in your life right now where you have this type of support system, then it’s a good time to undergo plastic surgery. Whereas if you still have yet to find a support system, wait a little while— the last thing you want is to feel alone while you’re in recovery.

Are you healthy?
Have you recently been diagnosed with some sort of disease or disorder? Whether mental or physical, it’s important that you wait until you are healthy again to even consider getting plastic surgery. However, if you are in a healthy mental and physical state, then contact Dr. Gregory Winer today.

Getting plastic surgery is a big deal. Not only are you making permanent changes to your body, but you are also investing time and money into the procedure. Ensure that you are getting plastic surgery at the right time by answering the above questions. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, contact Dr. Gregory Wiener today!
